Sheltered Water Vs Pool?  What do we mean?

Sheltered water means that we are looking for pool like conditions in the sea.  The depth should be gradual (like in a pool) so that you can stand up if you want. There should be no waves to contend with and the visibility in the water needs to be good enough. (Actually, the visibility in our waters is often better than many pools!)  It can be more interesting than training just in a pool because there is a good chance of seeing fishes while you train!  We make the choice dependent on weather and local conditions.
