Marine Life
We have some of the clearest waters in the UK and this brings benefits for divers, snorkelers and marine wildlife watchers! It is very easy to see quite a lot of life from the surface - using mask, fins and snorkel is ideal! We have binoculars for those who want to watch from the surface.

Of course, you don't need to dive to see some of our wildlife! The area is frequently visited by dolphins, seals and basking sharks. These are best seen from the boat's upper viewing platform. We have to approach them very slowly and cut the engine and allow these fantastic animals to come to us - we are not allowed to chase them! These encounters cannot be planned, but if conditions are right and they are in the area, we are often able get close enough to have some excellent sightings.

For bird watchers, herons, little egrets and other waders like curlews are almost guaranteed. We also see shags, cormorants, razorbills, guillemots, oyster catchers and all sorts of gulls. Gannets may be seen soaring overhead or plummeting into the water and we have had a pair of Ospreys on their migratory path. On the wooded banks of the Fal and Truro rivers, buzzards are often seen and heard.
